Knee Arthroscopy

An arthroscopy means “looking into a joint” with a camera. It allows the surgeon to examine the knee joint and perform some operations without having to open the knee completely. This is a day case procedure.

ACL Reconstruction

The Anterior cruciate is a ligament that runs inside the knee from the thigh bone to the shin bone giving stability to the knee joint. Loss or damage of the ligament can make the knee more prone to ‘giving way’. This procedure requires a one night stay.

Total Knee Replacement and Revision Knee Replacement

The knee is an important hinge joint and as it is weight-bearing can be prone to “wearing out”. Arthritis is painful and disabling and you and your surgeon may have decided that a knee replacement may be your best option. A knee replacement is a procedure, in which the injured or damaged running surfaces of the knee are replaced with artificial parts which are secured to the bone.

Unicompartmental Knee Replacement (half knee Replacement)

If the rest of the knee is still healthy, your surgeon may suggest having just a half knee replacement. The benefits of this are that the half knee replacement is intended to keep the healthy knee structures, and is intended to restore normal knee motion and function. You may go on to have a total knee replacement in the future. A unicompartmental knee replacement is a surgical procedure, in which the injured or damaged running surfaces of the knee are replaced with artificial parts which are secured to the bone.

Patellofemoral Joint Replacement

If only your kneecap is damaged, an operation called a patellofemoral replacement or patellofemoral joint arthroplasty can be performed. This involves less major surgery with a faster recovery time.

PRP injection

PRP Injection is an advanced regenerative treatment that uses the patient’s own blood to support natural healing and tissue repair. In this procedure, a small amount of blood is collected and processed using a centrifuge to separate and concentrate platelets, which contain growth factors essential for healing.
