Mr Enrique Saavedra is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over two decades of clinical expertise. After completing his orthopaedic training, he was appointed to his first Consultant post at Central Middlesex Hospital in 1998, followed by a role at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Charing Cross Hospital.
Since 2003, Mr Saavedra has held a substantive Consultant post at Ealing Hospital, where he has also served in leadership positions, including Clinical Head of Department.
Mr Saavedra specialises in all aspects of knee surgery, with a particular focus on:
- Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction (autograft and allograft)
- Complex knee ligament surgery
- Primary and revision knee replacement
- Partial (unicompartmental) knee replacement
- Meniscal repair and transplantation
- Cartilage repair techniques
He has over 15 years of experience using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, having treated many patients with encouraging outcomes.
Mr Saavedra is also trained and certified in robotic and computer-assisted knee surgery, using advanced systems such as:
- MAKO (Stryker)
- NAVIO (Smith & Nephew)
